Found near melting snow on 3rd May 2015, clearings of Pinus nigra forest, on Vorras mt (Northwestern Greece). Fisrt and unique record for Greece

Thanks for sharing Zissis :D . A very nice find and super photos - the sporangia look like they are carved from expensive marble..

I am hoping to hunt for some nivicolous species in the spring too...

Three years ago we wondered about the possibility to find nivicolous species in north Greece and now we found over 40 newly recorded snowbank species. It is a nice play with discoveries and nature trips.
